Only Daughter 

    In the story , " Only Daughter," the father believed that his daughter was made for husband's only. He says that she wasted her education because she has been going to school for the past 4 years. And 2 more years that she still needs but still has no man. And that why father questions her and ask her if school is really what she wants. Although she was the only daughter she proved that she could be independent. To show them that you don't need a mad to be successful and happy in life. Not everything is always about having a husband. Because you can be a hardworking women and be happy with no husband. Sandra knew that her father wasn't happy for her because he shook his head in disappointment. Like why get sad or mad over that right? She felt getting married wasn't a big thing for her at the moment. She was so focused on going to school and getting it done. But father thought otherwise. She wanted father to interrupted her while writing little poems and stories. She feels like she would never make him happy with anything she does. Sandra wants her father to introduce her as " My Only Daughter the Writer," not as in " This is my daughter she teaches." Finally, I believe that the father will believe in Sandra for what she does and tries not to pressure her to have a husband.
